To fit bust circumference:
Size 1 – 82-87 cm, 32-34”
Size 2 – 92-97 cm, 36-38”
Size 3 – 102-107 cm, 40-42”
Materials and tools
Yarn: Drops BABY MERINO (100% wool), 50 g [1.8 oz] = 175 m [191 yds].
Size 1 – 6 skeins
Size 2 – 7 skeins
Size 3 – 7 skeins
Circular needles 3.5 mm [US 4] and 3 mm [US 2.5] 80 cm [32“] long.
Double pointed needles 3.5 mm [US 4] and 3 mm [US 2.5].
4 markers.


Gauge (Tension)
In Stockinette stitch using larger needles:
10 cm [4”] = 26 stitches, 36 rows.
Instructions
The instructions are written for the smallest size. If changes are necessary for larger sizes the instructions will be written thus (). Example: size 1(size 2-size 3). If there is only one number given, it applies to all sizes.
Edge stitches:
- knit the first and the last stitch of the right-side row,
- purl the first and the last stitch of the wrong-side row.
Work in pattern (as established) means that you will work as previously stated, without changing the position of the pattern.
BOR – beginning of the round.
RS – right side.
WS – wrong side.
Stockinette stitch:
For working in the round: knit all stitches.
For working flat:
Right-side rows: knit.
Wrong-side rows: purl.
Stitch no.2:

For working in the round:
Round 1: * purl 1 stitch, knit 1 stitch. Repeat from * around.
Rounds 2, 4: knit.
Round 3: * knit 1 stitch, purl 1 stitch. Repeat from * around.
YOKE:
1. With larger needles, cast on 61(68-69) stitches, using the long tail cast on technique.
2. First row (wrong-side row, set-up the markers): purl the edge stitch, place marker, purl 8(10-10) stitches, place marker, purl 43(46-47) stitches, place marker, purl 8(10-10) stitches, place marker, purl the edge stitch.
These raglan markers indicate divisions between right front, right shoulder, back, left shoulder and left front sections.
3. Increase row: knit to the marker, ✓ increase 1 knit stitch (right leaning), slip the marker, knit 8 stitches, slip the marker, increase 1 knit stitch (left leaning) ✓, knit to the marker, repeat from ✓ to ✓ 1 more time, knit to the end of the row.
4. Increase row: purl to the marker, ✓ increase 1 purl stitch (left leaning), slip the marker, purl 8 stitches, slip the marker, increase 1 purl stitch (right leaning) ✓, purl to the marker, repeat from ✓ to ✓ 1 more time, purl to the end of the row.
5. Repeat steps 3-4 until you have 75(84-93) stitches for the back and 17(20-24) stitches for the right and the left sides of the front.
Now you will start shaping the top of the sleeves, make sure you start from the right-side row (size 2 – to start from the right-side row work 1 more wrong-side row without increases).
6. Increase row: knit to the marker, ✓ slip the marker, increase 1 knit stitch (left leaning), knit to the marker, increase 1 knit stitch (right leaning), slip the marker ✓, knit to the marker, repeat from ✓ to ✓ 1 more time, knit to the end of the row.
7. Next row: purl to the end of the row, slip the markers as you come to them.
8. Repeat steps 6-7 until you have 49 rows from the cast on edge.
Now you will shape the neckline:
9. Increase row: work step 6, cast on 2 stitches in the end of the row (use the backward loop technique).
10. Increase row: work step 7, cast on 2 stitches in the end of the row.
11. Repeat steps 9-10 2 times more.
12. Next row: work step 6, cast on 29(32-33) stitches between the right and the left sides of the front. Knit to the end of the front section.
13. Join for working in the round.
Note: the marker between the front and the left sleeve sections indicate the beginning of the round (BOR).
14. Next round: knit to the end of the round, slip the markers as you come to them.
15. Increase round: ✓ slip the marker, increase 1 knit stitch (left leaning), knit to the marker, increase 1 knit stitch (right leaning), slip the marker, knit to the marker ✓. Repeat from ✓ to ✓ 1 more time.
16. Repeat steps 14-15 until you have 66(68-70) stitches for both sleeves.
17. Next round: knit to the end of the round, slip the markers as you come to them.
18. Increase round: ✓ slip the marker, increase 1 knit stitch (left leaning), knit to the marker, increase 1 knit stitch (right leaning), slip the marker, knit 2 stitches, increase 1 knit stitch (left leaning), knit to the last 2 stitches before the marker, increase 1 knit stitch (right leaning), knit 2 stitches ✓. Repeat from ✓ to ✓ 1 more time.
19. Increase round: ✓ slip the marker, knit to the marker, slip the marker, knit 2 stitches, increase 1 knit stitch (left leaning), knit to the last 2 stitches before the marker, increase 1 knit stitch (right leaning), knit 2 stitches ✓. Repeat from ✓ to ✓ 1 more time.
20. Repeat steps 18-19 until you have 99(112-121) stitches for back and front sections, 78(82-84) stitches for the sleeves.
SEPARATE BOBY AND SLEEVES:
Keep the BOR marker in place, all other markers can be removed.
1. Using the sewing needle place the left sleeve stitches on hold on a waste yarn.
2. Cast on 8(10-14) stitches.
3. Knit the back stitches.
4. Place the right sleeve stitches on hold on a waste yarn.
5. Cast on 8(10-14) stitches.
6. Knit the front stitches.
Sleeve stitches are on hold and there are 214(244-270) stitches on the needles.
BODY:
1. Work 4 rounds in Stockinette stitch.
2. Work 30 rounds in Stitch no.2.
3. Work in Stockinette stitch until the body measures 26 cm | 10¼“ from the underarms (approx. 64 rounds after Stitch no.2).
4. Change to smaller needles and knit 1 more round.
5. Cast off using the i-cord technique: cast on 4 stitches, ✓ knit 3 stitches, knit 2 stitches together, place 4 stitches back onto the left-hand needle. Repeat from ✓ to the end of the round. Cast off 4 stitches. Sew up using the horizontal seam.
SLEEVES:
There are two ways for making the sleeves. You can work with double pointed needles or with the circular needles using the magic loop method.
1. Place 78(82-84) stitches of the sleeve onto the needles, pick up 4(5-7) stitches from the underarm, place marker for beginning of the round, pick up 4(5-7) more stitches from the underarm. Join for working in the round.
2. Work 4 rounds in Stockinette stitch.
3. Work 30 rounds in Stitch no.2.
4. Decrease round: slip the marker, knit 1 stitch, knit 2 stitches together (right leaning), knit to the last 3 stitches to the marker, knit 2 stitches together (left leaning), knit 1 stitch.
5. Next 7(6-5) rounds: slip the marker, knit until the end of the round.
6. Repeat steps 4-5 until there are 60(64-68) stitches left on the needle.
7. Work in Stockinette stitch until the sleeve measures 41(40-39) cm | 16¼(15¾-15¼)“ from the underarm.
8. Change to smaller needles and knit 1 more round.
9. Cast off using the i-cord technique.
NECKLINE:
1. With smaller needles pick up 198(208-210) stitches around the neck edge.
Pick up stitches from every row along the vertical edge, and from every stitch along the horizontal edge.
2. Cast off using the i-cord technique.
